HEALTH CAREERS PROGRAM - Pee Dee AHEC Summer Enrichment Program

The Pee Dee AHEC Summer Enrichment Program is a 6 week shadowing opportunity in the Pee Dee area. Students will be placed in a healthcare setting determined/based on their career interest. Once in these placements, students will be required to shadow and assist their designated supervisor as determined by the site and the Health Careers Program coordinator. Students will be expected to learn the daily routines of the health profession they are shadowing and assist in any way the site requires of them. In order to complete the Summer Enrichment Program, students will be required to produce timesheets signed by their supervisors, an essay detailing their experience and what they have learned and at least one letter of recommendation from their supervisors and other persons at their shadowing site.
