Explore health careers through our exciting summer program(s)!

The Summer Internship Program is a four to six week educational and work opportunity designed for underrepresented minority and disadvantaged high school and college students in the Pee Dee Region. This experience allows students to see first-hand what it is like working as a healthcare professional.  Efforts are made to place students in a healthcare setting based on their top career interest. Interns are expected to learn about the healthcare industry, job functions of health professionals, and identify how healthcare staff work as teams. Interns are assigned responsibilities and assist their designated supervisor as determined by the site and the Health Careers Program Coordinator. This experience includes a stipend. The application process is competitive and space is limited. Seniority is given to high school upperclassmen and college students.
